Event Coordinator

The Village of Middleville Downtown Development Authority (DDA) is seeking a qualified applicant to fill the position of Event Coordinator to provide event organizing, scheduling and administrative support to the Downtown Development Authority. The position reports to the DDA Director. It is a part-time position, working 20 hours per week on a variable schedule. Experience in event planning and social media is highly desirable. Minimum qualifications: experience and proficiency using Microsoft Office applications, accurate typing at a speed necessary to meet the requirements of the position, organize, set priorities, take initiative and exercise sound independent judgment within areas of responsibility; organize and maintain files, compose correspondence, communicate clearly and effectively orally and in writing with volunteers, prepare clear, accurate and concise records and reports, use tact, discretion and confidentiality in dealing with people and customers, establish and maintain effective working relationships with the DDA Director, Village Manager, staff and others encountered in the course of work. A high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required. This is a salaried position and pays $250.00 per week.
